Only a few games after he returned to the Lakers lineup and began playing at a high level, LeBron James is set to miss more time after entering the league’s health and safety protocol, according to a report from The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
Due to injury and suspension, James has played in just 11 of the Lakers’ first 22 games. The Lakers are 7-4 with James in the lineup, and 4-7 without him. He was coming off a 33-point performance in a win over the Pistons on Sunday.
If James tests positive for COVID-19, he will not be allowed to exercise for a minimum of 10 days. James could return to the court sooner if he returns two negative PCR tests at least 24 hours apart.
LeBron James has entered health and safety protocols and is out tonight vs. Sacramento, Lakers say.
