Throughout many of the games in the Boston Celtics’ 2021-22 NBA season so far, the fourth quarter of most games have not been a quarter the team has played particularly well in — at least, before Sunday night’s road tilt against the Toronto Raptors, anyhow.
In that contest, Boston kept their composure and found a way to play together as a team to secure a 109 – 97 win over the Raptors despite neither of their star wings Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum having a particularly strong night on offense. That the team kept it together and won as a team was not lost on head coach Ime Udoka after the game.
“We talked about it in the timeout, I think when we went up 13 (midway through the final frame),” explained Udoka.
