The coaching search for the USC Trojans has reportedly come to an end, with the traditional power in the Pac-12 South coming to terms with former Oklahoma Sooners head coach Lincoln Riley.
This is a shocking hire, considering that Riley is among the best coaches in the NCAA, and one that has been a highly-coveted name over the past couple of years. He wasn’t rumored in this coaching search for USC, but after losing to Oklahoma State on Saturday night in Bedlam, he was apparently swayed to skip town and try his luck in Los Angeles.
This is a fantastic hire for the Trojans, who will now have one of the best coaches in the nation looking to get them back on the right track. It is also a great hire for the Pac-12 as a whole, who is looking to get a team back into the College Football Playoff once again.
