The Miami Dolphins took the field and took the lead early in Sunday’s matchup with the Carolina Panthers despite their offense being on the sideline.
In the first quarter, Carolina was backed up inside their own 10-yard line when they were forced to punt. Dolphins linebacker Duke Riley, who delivered a big hit the play before, came through to block Lachlan Edwards’ punt. The ball was picked up by cornerback Justin Coleman for the score to put Miami up 7-0.
If the Dolphins are going to beat a team with a strong defense like the Panthers, they’re going to need these strong special teams’ contributions.
OH MY. 😱
