It’s been almost 11 months since the Rams lost to the Packers in the divisional round of the playoffs, a game they played without Cooper Kupp – and with both Jared Goff and Aaron Donald banged up. They’ll meet again on Sunday afternoon with both teams looking fairly different than they did in January.
However, despite the Rams being slightly favored from a betting perspective, the experts are giving the banged-up Packers the edge. According to NFL Pick Watch, 54% of experts are picking the Packers to beat the Rams at home on Sunday afternoon. The 54-46 discrepancy is the closest of Week 12 in the NFL, so pundits are clearly expecting it to be close.
The spread has shifted a bunch over the last week and a half, from Packers -1.5 to Rams -1.5 now, but experts are still favoring the Packers to cover. Of those who have submitted their picks, 52% are taking the Packers to cover the spread.
The Packers have been the best team against the spread this season, covering nine times in 11 games. Their 9-2 ATS record is significantly better than the Rams’ 4-6 mark, which is tied for the fifth-worst in football.
