After a bye in Week 12, the Kansas City Chiefs (x-x) will return to action in Week 13 with a home game against the Denver Broncos (x-x).
The Chiefs will have just six games remaining of their 17-game schedule after the bye week, with four of the six games against AFC West opponents. They’ll kick things off with three consecutive games against AFC West opponents, including two-straight games played at Arrowhead Stadium. After their win against the Raiders in Week 10, Kansas City improved to a 32-6 vs. the AFC West dating back to the 2015 NFL season.
With all that in mind, here’s a look at the post-bye week schedule.
Week | Date | Opponent | Time |
12 | Sunday, Nov. 28 | BYE | BYE |
13 | Sunday, Dec. 5 | vs. Denver Broncos | 7:20 p.m. CT on CBS |
14 | Sunday, Dec. 12 | vs. Las Vegas Raiders | 12:00 p.m. CT on CBS |
15 | Thursday, Dec. 16 | @ Los Angeles Chargers (TNF) | 7:20 p.m. CT on NFL Network / FOX / Prime |
16 | Sunday, Dec. 26 | vs. Pittsburgh Steelers | 3:25 p.m. CT on CBS |
17 | Sunday, Jan. 2 | @ Cincinnati Bengals | 12:00 p.m. CT on CBS |
18 | Sunday, Jan. 9 | @ Denver Broncos | 3:25 p.m. CT on CBS |
The NFL’s flexible scheduling policy allows all daytime games after Week 11 to be flexed into “Sunday Night Football.” That means five of the six remaining games for Kansas City are eligible. They’ve already played two “Sunday Night Football” games this season. Depending on how the rest of the season goes, keep an eye on the last three games on the schedule for the Chiefs. Those are the most likely to be flexed into primetime.
Dates and times for Week 18 games can also be flexed after the conclusion of Week 17. Two games will be played in a Saturday (Jan. 8) doubleheader, while the remaining games will be played on Sunday (Jan. 9).
Update: The Chiefs’ Week 13 game against the Broncos was flexed to “Sunday Night Football.”
