Carolina Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn still has a ways to go to get himself back on the playing field. Nonetheless, seeing the stud rookie—in any capacity—was a much welcomed sight.
The 2021 eighth overall pick, who’s still on the comeback trail from a broken foot, was present at Wednesday’s practice in a red non-contact jersey. While, again, he’s still not particularly close to exchanging that jersey for an actual one, his appearance is encouraging at the very least.
Here’s how the initial injury report for the team panned out ahead of their Week 12 matchup with the Miami Dolphins:
Injury | Wed. | Thurs. | Fri. | Game status
G Dennis Daley | Glute | Full
CB Myles Hartsfield | Wrist | DNP
G John Miller | Ankle | Limited |
Daley, who was filling in for an injured reserve-stricken Cameron Erving at left tackle, was a full go. Head coach Matt Rhule, additionally, had no further update on Erving’s current status as he recovers from a calf strain.
In turn, rookie Brady Christensen filled in admirably for Daley upon his exit in the 27-21 loss to the Washington Football Team. Carolina, however, will likely go with Daley on the blindside this Sunday as long as he’s not dealing with a pain in his butt.
