The Irish offense had a great opportunity on their first drive to get points which they did, on a Jonathan Doerer 41-yard field goal. That meant that the first touchdown was still out there and the Notre Dame defense came out on the field.
The Georgia Tech offense had just entered Notre Dame territory and their first play did not end well for them. Defensive end Isaiah Foskey come storming into the backfield, hit Yellow Jacket quarterback Jordan Yates as he was throwing and linebacker Jack Kiser was in the right place at the right time. The sophomore, picked off the pass and took it to the house for a touchdown and extending the Irish lead to 10-0 at home against Georgia Tech.
PICK-6! 🙌@NDFootball takes a 10-0 lead.
