Titans’ reasons for optimism and concern in Week 11 vs. Texans

Titans WR A.J. Brown has been dominant in four career games versus the Texans.

After going through a brutal stretch of their 2021 schedule that saw them play five 2020 playoff teams in a row, the Tennessee Titans draw an easier matchup this week against the 1-8 Houston Texans.

It has been a disastrous year for Houston. On top of the Deshaun Watson saga that still hasn’t seen a conclusion, the Texans have lost eight straight games and sit in the cellar of the AFC South and conference coming out of their bye.

Now, Houston has to navigate a matchup with their division rival, a team that has won six straight games and sports an 8-2 record that is tops in the AFC, and tied for tops in the NFL.

Against a bad team like the Texans, it’s easy to say the Titans don’t have many, if any reasons for concern, with their biggest reason for optimism being the Texans stink.

But, in the interest of not being lazy, let’s dive a bit deeper and see what the specific reasons for concern and optimism are for the Titans in Week 11.
