Dwyane Wade: So for me, that was one of the reasons I did this book. Because for one of the first times I wanted to kind of tell my own story. I wanted people to hear my own thoughts, my inner thoughts, what the hell was I thinking and going through in that moment? I live a very public life. And I have certain moments that are just for me and for my family, but 85% of them the world knows about. So I can’t run from it, I can’t hide from it. I gotta jump in and embrace it the best way possible. And so anytime I get a chance to do my own documentary, or do my own book, or do certain things, I’m controlling my own story. And that’s the way you want it.
