Once again, fans of the Boston Celtics find themselves on wrong side of a contest in the team’s 2021-22 schedule, with the Celtics dropping their Nov. 17 road contest with the Atlanta Hawks 110 – 99 as the team experienced shaky offense with some defensive backsliding in the absence of Jaylen Brown and Robert Williams III.
But the smallest silver lining to be had was that it looks like — for at least one game — star forward Jayson Tatum has shaken off the shooting slump plaguing him this season. The St. Louis native put up 34 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and a block while shooting 12-for-22 overall and 5-of-12 from 3 in 34 minutes of playing time.
Tatum also got to the line 6 times, converting 5 for what was one of his best games of the season, sadly without the accompanying firepower that would have gotten Boston over the top for the win.
Brown and Williams should return soon, but until they do, watch the highlight clip embedded above to see the best of Tatum’s play against the Hawks Wednesday without having to watch the loss, courtesy of YouTuber Tomasz Kordylewski.
