Orlando Magic rookie Jalen Suggs will return to the starting lineup on Wednesday on the road against the New York Knicks, head coach Jamahl Mosley said.
Suggs did not play on Monday as the Magic began a five-game road trip versus the Atlanta Hawks due to a sprained right ankle. He had participated in shootaround on Monday morning but the team ultimately opted to hold him out.
Without Suggs, the Magic lost to the Hawks, 129-111
The fifth overall pick initially suffered the injury on Saturday in the fourth quarter against the Washington Wizards after he appeared to swat the ball away from a defender. He walked off the court under his power but did not return to the contest.
Jalen Suggs will start tonight for the Magic vs. the Knicks, Jamahl Mosley said.

The contest on Monday was the first of the season that Suggs missed. He had started in the previous 13 games for the Magic prior to that point, averaging 11.3 points, 3.5 assists and 3.3 rebounds on 31.2% shooting from the field, including 20.3% from 3-point range.
Suggs gives the Magic some versatility in the backcourt as a guard that can play both on and off of the ball. He also brings toughness on defense as a physical guard that can match up well with opposing players on a nightly basis.
The contest between the Magic and Knicks is set to tip off at 7:30 p.m. EST.
