Going into Week 10, the Raiders had a chance to take a commanding lead in the AFC West. With the Chargers and Broncos both losing earlier in the day, the Raiders needed a win over the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football.
Unfortunately, the Raiders did not accomplish that goal. Instead, they were blown out by the Chiefs in Las Vegas. The defense just couldn’t get off the field and Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs scored 41 points. Mahomes threw five touchdowns in a big bounce-back game.
Meanwhile, Derek Carr and the offense had its worst day of the season. The offense totaled just 299 yards and scored 14 points. The Raiders ran for just 50 yards and a DeSean Jackson fumble near the goal line summed up their rough day.
The Raiders now sit at 5-4 and are tied for second in the AFC West. They will host the Bengals in Week 11. With a difficult schedule coming up, the Raiders will need a win to stay in contention in the division.
