Anthony Brown, yes. Jayden de Laura no.
The Washington State quarterback attempted this move on Washington State’s first possession and fumbled the ball. But when Brown dove and stretched out for the pylon, he maintained control of the ball and scored the touchdown.
It was a touchdown the Ducks needed badly as the Cougars dominated the second quarter to tie the game at 14-14. However, Oregon grabbed the momentum in the third quarter with a scoring drive that was set up by Mykael Wright’s 56-yard kickoff return.
Brown had to scramble away from the Cougar rush, but then saw daylight and made a mad dash for the pylon and the touchdown to give the Ducks the 21-14 lead early in the third quarter.
