On Friday, young Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. more than held his own in a battle with perennial All-Star Damian Lillard. Two days later, he’ll have yet another opportunity versus a future Hall of Fame point guard when Chris Paul leads the Phoenix Suns into Toyota Center.
What’s most important to the rebuilding Rockets, of course, is actually securing a win and breaking a 10-game losing streak. They played competitively versus the defending Western Conference champions just over a week ago in Phoenix, and they are hoping to take the next step and finish it off during Sunday’s rematch from Houston. It certainly won’t be easy against the Suns, who enter with seven straight wins.
Here’s when you should tune in for the game, which wraps up a three-game homestand for the Rockets at Toyota Center:
- Date: Sunday, Nov. 14
- Time: 6 p.m. Central
- TV Channel: AT&T SportsNet Southwest, NBA League Pass
- Live Stream: fuboTV (watch for free in Houston markets)
Probable starting lineups
Houston Rockets (1-11)
- Guard: Kevin Porter Jr.
- Guard: Jalen Green
- Forward: Jae’Sean Tate
- Forward: Christian Wood
- Center: Daniel Theis
Phoenix Suns (8-3)
- Guard: Chris Paul
- Guard: Devin Booker
- Forward: Mikal Bridges
- Forward: Jae Crowder
- Center: JaVale McGee
Projected lineups are based on each team’s game notes.
The Rockets have a clean injury report. John Wall remains out due to a mutual decision for him not to play in games this season, with Houston prioritizing minutes for the development of younger players.
On the other side, Phoenix is listing starting center Deandre Ayton as doubtful due to a right lower leg contusion, which has caused him to miss the team’s last four games. Reserve wing Abdel Nader is questionable with left knee soreness, and Dario Šarić remains out as a result of the right ACL injury that he suffered in the 2021 NBA Finals.
