That’s one way to look at things, we guess.
After Florida defeated Samford, 70-52, in a college football, not basketball game on Saturday, Gators coach Dan Mullen offered this:
Dan Mullen postgame TV interview after beating Samford 70-52: "We’re going to celebrate this win." And: "It’s a great win for us. Hopefully it builds some confidence for guys moving forward."

The teams combined for 880 passing yards and 9 touchdowns.
The 5-5 Gators, who are struggling mightily in 2021, were 35.5-point favorites coming in and the over/under was 68.5, so they covered that number by themselves.
Emery Jones accounted for 7 touchdowns, 6 through the air.
On the “defensive” side for Florida, it gave up its most points (42) in a half against any opponent.

Florida had won its previous four games against FCS opponents by a combined score of 199-16. The Bulldogs scored touchdowns on five of their first six drives and led 42-28 late in the second quarter.
The Gators rebounded, outscoring Samford 42-10 after that.
