Auburn’s offense is looking much better today against Mississippi State than it did a week ago against Texas A&M.
After scoring on the first drive of the game, the Tigers scored off of a 57-yard play from Ja’Varrius Johnson on an RPO.
The resulting war originally ruled as a 57-yard touchdown reception but was later ruled as a backward pass. It now goes down in the stat sheet as Johnson scoring on a 57-yard run.
Bo Nix faked a handoff to Jarquez Hunter, red the defense, then got the ball out to Johnson. From there, Johnson showed off his speed and did the rest.
