The Buffalo Bills will be without the quarterback of their defense in Week 10.
Linebacker Tremaine Edmunds will not play vs. the New York Jets due to injury.
Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott confirmed that via video conference on Friday. The coach added his team will miss the consistent leadership Edmunds brings each game.
“The continuity piece is real,” McDermott said.
AJ Klein will replace Edmunds in the lineup. The versatile Klein has replaced Matt Milano due to injury in the past.
Klein last started a game for the Bills (5-3) in Week 5 against the Kansas City Chiefs this season for Milano.
Edmunds has a hamstring injury.
In Week 9’s Bills loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Edmunds played every snap on defense. He was not listed on the injury report at all until Wednesday.
Along with Edmunds being out, running Zack Moss has yet to clear the concussion protocol, per McDermott.
On a positive note, tight end Dawson Knox (hand), rookie offensive lineman Spencer Brown (back), and cornerback Taron Johnson (concussion) are expected to play vs. the Jets. Brown and Knox have had full practices this week.
Bills Wire will provide the full final injury reports for the Bills and Jets ahead of their upcoming game when they are made available.
