There was no change in the status of any of the Detroit Lions players on the team’s injury update following Thursday’s practice session in Allen Park. Jamaal Williams remained the only Detroit player sidelined, as the starting running back deals with a thigh injury. He also sat out Wednesday’s practice and missed the Week 8 game against the Eagles with the injury.
Left tackle Taylor Decker and CB AJ Parker were both full participants, a very good sign that each will play on Sunday. Decker had no setbacks after his first full practice of the regular season on Wednesday in his quest to return from a finger injury that cost him the first eight games.
The Steelers injury report is a little more interesting in advance of Sunday’s game in Pittsburgh. Starting QB Ben Roethlisberger missed his second straight practice with an injury that spans his right shoulder as well as his chest. Roethlisberger has been limited all season with the pectoral injury and a hip ailment, but the throwing shoulder adds another twist. Per Steelers Wire, “Big Ben” threw just two passes more than 15 yards down the field in Pittsburgh’s Week 9 win over Chicago. That game was Monday night too, meaning a day less of rest before the Lions visit Heinz Field.
Also for Pittsburgh, standout DT Cam Heyward was added to the injury list with an ankle issue. He was not on the injury list on Wednesday. Wide receiver Chase Claypool joined Roethlisberger on the sidelines for the whole practice session. One-time Lions TE Eric Ebron upgraded from being a limited participant on Wednesday to a full go on Thursday.
