On the day in which he could make his final decision, free-agent WR Odell Beckham Jr. is honing in on the Chiefs, Packers and Saints, per league sources.

Here’s your hourly Odell Beckham Jr. update: ESPN’s Dianna Russini reported Wednesday morning that the wide receiver “is honing in on” three suitors after experiencing free agency for the first time in his career, including the New Orleans Saints.
That’s the good news. The bad news is that the two other teams in the Beckham sweepstakes are the Kansas City Chiefs and the Green Bay Packers, two teams that boast two of the last three league MVP quarterbacks. It’s going to be tough to sway Beckham from the possibility of catching passes from Patrick Mahomes or Aaron Rodgers. The playing field would be more even if Jameis Winston were still under center in New Orleans, but neither Taysom Hill nor Trevor Siemian are exactly appealing.
But it’s worth noting that the Saints are the only consistent team in all of these reports. Other squads have been mentioned before like the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots, but from the first whispers of Beckham’s split with the Cleveland Browns only New Orleans has remained in the speculation. So there’s that.
We should know something sooner rather than later. The longer this draws out the less likely it is Beckham will be able to play in this week’s games, jeopardizing one of the game checks he’s been fighting so hard for. Stay tuned to this developing story.
