The Indianapolis Colts designated cornerback T.J. Carrie to return from the injured reserve list on Tuesday, per the league’s transaction wire.
With the Colts opening the window for return, Carrie is allowed to practice with the team while remaining on the reserve list. They have 21 days to activate him or else he stays on the reserve list for the rest of the season.
Carrie has been on the injured reserve list with a knee injury since being placed there following the Week 3 loss against the Tennessee Titans.
Carrie would be a sight for sore eyes when it comes to the secondary. Even though he’s listed as a cornerback, there’s a good chance he sees time at safety. He saw reps there during training camp and given the injuries to both Khari Willis and Julian Blackmon, he could be a helpful addition.
Though he’s eligible to return this week, it still remains to be seen if he will be able to suit up against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 10.
