[autotag]Khamzat Chimaev[/autotag] called out the Paul brothers and he got a response.
The rising UFC welterweight took to Twitter on Tuesday to say he would “smash” both Logan and Jake Paul in a boxing match. Well, it didn’t take long for Jake to respond, as he dished out a short answer later on Tuesday.
“Listen Kumquat…,” Jake wrote on Twitter. “You are just another UFC fighter pretending you can box. Sit down, shut up and pray you get paid fairly.”

Chimaev immediately fired one tweet of his own, hitting Jake with one of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s most notorious one-liners.
“You number-one bullshit bro,” Chimaev wrote.

Chimaev also posted a picture that includes the Paul brothers’ heads on mounts above a sitting Chimaev who is holding a phone to his ear with a rifle in his other hand.

Chimaev, 27, remains undefeated in MMA at 10-0, which includes his first four UFC fights. He came off a 13-month layoff following a severe bout with COVID-19 to choke out Li Jingliang on Oct. 30 at UFC 267 in Abu Dhabi. Chimaev, a standout wrestler and grappler, isn’t primarily known for his boxing skills, but he has six knockouts on his MMA resume, including two in the UFC.
Fights with either of the Paul brothers seemingly would be off the table for Chimaev since UFC president Dana White has stated in the past that he has no desire to work with them. He has specifically made that clear about Jake Paul, with whom he’s publicly feuded.
Jake Paul, 24, has defeated former MMA champions Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley in the boxing ring en route to starting his career 4-0. The YouTube star has an upcoming Dec. 18 bout scheduled with Tommy Fury, the younger half-brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. Tommy, 22, is 7-0.
