It appears [autotag]Chas Skelly[/autotag] will be making the walk to the cage for the final time in February.
Skelly (18-3-1 MMA, 7-3-1 UFC) takes on [autotag]Mark Striegl[/autotag] (18-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) at UFC Fight Night on Feb. 19, expected to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Both fighters confirmed the news on social media, where 36-year-old Skelly announced it will be his last fight.

“I plan to make this my last fight but will train like it’s my first! Don’t miss it!
I should be in the front but I think this picture was stolen from my opponents page! Lol.”
Skelly hasn’t competed since defeating Jordan Griffin by unanimous decision in September 2019. He saw multiple fights canceled, including a rare one-off incident in which he made the walk to the cage against Jamall Emmers at UFC Fight Night 185 in February, but he never got to compete after Emmers experienced back spasms backstage and was pulled from the fight. Skelly was then booked to fight Mike Trizano at UFC Fight Night 194 in October but withdrew due to undisclosed reasons.
Striegl entered the UFC with a lot of steam, having built plenty of experience competing under the Pacific X-treme Combat, Universal Reality Combat Championship and ONE Championship banner. The Filipino-American sambo champion fell short in his UFC debut when he was stopped by Said Nurmagomedov in just 51 seconds in October 2020.
With the addition, the Feb. 19 lineup now includes:
- Chad Anheliger vs. Jesse Strader
- Austin Lingo vs. Jonathan Pearce
- Chas Skelly vs. Mark Striegl
