The Houston Texans lost to another 1-7 team on a seven-game losing streak in Week 9, but it didn’t affect their spot in the power rankings too bad.
According to Nick Wojton of the Touchdown Wire, the Texans fell from No. 30 to No. 31 overall after losing to Miami 17-9 at Hard Rock Stadium in quarterback Tyrod Taylor’s return game after injuring his hamstring in Week 2.
The Texans faced off with the Dolphins in a battle between 1-7 teams and lost. As their records would suggest, it was an ugly game.
Much like with the draft order, as long as the Detroit Lions keep losing, the Texans won’t be the worst team in the NFL.
Across the rest of the Tennessee Titans may be without running back Derrick Henry, but they kept rolling as they trounced the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football. The win moved the Titans from No. 6 to No. 2 overall. The Indianapolis Colts kicked off the week with a win over the New York Jets, going from No. 20 to No. 17. The Jacksonville Jaguars, who beat the Buffalo Bills in Week 9, moved up from No. 31 to No. 25.
The Texans have Week 10 off as it is their bye, which gives Houston sports fans a chance to recuperate from the campaign of defeats. The Texans get back in action on Nov. 21 against the Titans on the road at Nissan Stadium.
