Texans RB Phillip Lindsay says all they need is one win to start clicking

The Houston Texans are on a seven-game losing streak, but RB Phillip Lindsay knows it can turn in an instant.

The Houston Texans are on a seven-game losing streak, and it appears that they will never win a game. Even if they do so, the anxiety is they will slip back to their losing ways and go on another losing streak.

According to running back Phillip Lindsay, if the Texans can get a win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 9, they can start to cultivate the habits that can make winning spread.

It’s very important to build those habits because it’s contagious,” said Lindsay. “All it takes is one game to win, and everything can click. I’ve seen that. I’ve seen how things can be bad at the beginning and really good at the very end. That’s why it’s a long season.”

Lindsay points out that in college football, the season is a game or two from being over. However, there are nine more games to go after the Texans’ showdown with the Dolphins in Week 9 at Hard Rock Stadium.

Said Lindsay: “At this time, if you’re in college, you’ve got two, three more games left. But if you’re in the NFL, you’ve got a whole college season ahead of you right now, honestly. Things can switch in a heartbeat. All it takes is for the offense to make some plays, the defense to make some plays. We get a win, and then everybody kind of starts to get that confidence and understands little certain things that get us over the top. That’s what we’ve got to do.”

The Texans are getting a shot in the arm as quarterback Tyrod Taylor returns to the starting position after being on injured reserve since he strained his hamstring in Week 2. The Texans have been on a losing streak since they beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 37-21 in Week 1 at NRG Stadium.
