It was the first example of the Husky offense’s vulnerability.
Washington quarterback Dylan Morris was forced to throw into not double, but triple coverage and safety Jordan Happle was there to pick off the pass. It was Happle’s first interception of the season.
Oregon has many other interceptions, but Happle was able to make the play with a huge club on his left hand as he injured it earlier in the season.
Unfortunately, it’s been a rough day for the Duck offense as well and Oregon couldn’t take advantage of the turnover as the Huskies still have the 9-3 second-quarter lead.
