[autotag]Ian Garry[/autotag] made a statement in his first fight inside the octagon.
The 23-year-old welterweight prospect knocked out Jordan Williams in the preliminary card of Saturday’s UFC 268 in New York City to win his UFC debut.
Garry (8-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) had a rocky start, as Williams (9-6 MMA, 0-3 UFC) was pressuring well while landing the cleaner and more frequent strikes. On a couple of occasions, Williams tagged and seemed to wobble the Irishman. With 10 seconds remaining on the round, Garry countered with a straight right and followed up with a couple of punches to put away Williams.
