Celtics injury update: Josh Richardson questionable vs. Miami Heat (11/4)

Boston managed a clean bill of health for exactly one game.

The Boston Celtics managed to keep their injury report a clean one for all of one game so far this season, with the team announcing on the Thursday after their most recent tilt with the Orlando Magic that saw the Celtics at full health that veteran wing Josh Richardson would be questionable for their second half of a back-to-back against the Miami Heat that evening.

Richardson, who is averaging 6.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, and an assist per game for Boston while shooting 33.3% from beyond the arc in the 2021-22 NBA season to date, is listed as a potential scratch because of a left foot contusion. It is unclear if that was sustained in the team’s Wednesday night win over the Magic or at some other point, but if the Tennessee product does take the night off against the Heat, it may give some playing time to Aaron Nesmith and Payton Pritchard.

The two young shooters have been increasingly clamored for by fans and analysts both who want to see how the addition of viable threats from the perimeter might help Boston offensively.
