Bears open as 5.5-point road underdogs vs. Steelers in Week 9

The Bears have opened as 5.5-point road underdogs against the Steelers, per Tipico.

The Chicago Bears will face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football, where Chicago will be looking to break a three-game losing streak. Although they’ve struggled mightily in prime-time games over the last few years.

The Bears have opened as 5.5-point road underdogs against the Steelers, according to Tipico Sportsbook. The over/under is set at 39.5 points.

It’s not a surprise that the Bears are underdogs considering they’ve lost three straight games, including a winnable game against the 49ers last week. While the offense showed some progress, the defense continues to regress with back-to-back games where they’ve given up 30-plus points.

Chicago has been underdogs six other times this season against the Rams, Browns, Raiders, Packers, Bucs and 49ers. The Bears have been favorites in Week 2 against the Bengals and Week 4 against the Lions this season, both wins.

Can the Bears get back on track with a win over the Steelers in prime time? Or will Pittsburgh send Chicago into the bye on a four-game losing streak? We’ll see when the Bears and Steelers kick things off Monday at 7:15 p.m. CT on ESPN.
