The Tennessee Titans made a pair of roster moves on Monday, one of which included placing superstar running back Derrick Henry on Injured Reserve.
Titans head coach Mike Vrabel confirmed surgery for Henry during his earlier in the day, saying it would take place on Tuesday morning.
Timelines for Henry’s return have varied, but the best one we’ve seen comes from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, who says The King could be out 6 to 10 weeks, with eight weeks being the most realistic.
Not great, but better than him being done for the season. If he comes back after eight weeks, that would place his return sometime around Week 16, right before the playoffs.
Thankfully, the Titans have a comfortable lead in the AFC South and should be able to weather the storm until Henry returns.
The other move Tennessee made on Monday was the activation of backup center Daniel Munyer off IR. He’s now back on the 53-man roster.
