The Rams made a big splash on Monday afternoon when they acquired Von Miller from the Broncos for two Day 2 picks in the 2022 draft. It’s a move that will only cost the Rams less than $1 million in cap space this year and significantly improves a defense that was already playing well in recent weeks.
The oddsmakers see this as a trade that helps the Rams’ Super Bowl chances, too. According to Tipico Sportsbook, the Rams’ Super Bowl odds improved from +700 to +650 after the Miller trade was made.
They still have the third-best odds to win it all, inching closer to the Bucs (+600) and Bills (+480). Entering the season, the Rams had the fourth-best odds to win Super Bowl LVI at +1200, so that number has gotten considerably better.
The Rams are ahead of the Packers (+900) Cowboys (+1000) and Cardinals (+1000), which is an example of just how stacked the NFC is right now. It’s part of the reason Los Angeles traded away two future picks to land Miller. Getting out of the NFC and reaching the Super Bowl won’t be easy.
