The Jacksonville Jaguars haven’t had the best luck when it comes to injuries to their skill positions as they’ve lost both receiver DJ Chark Jr. and running back Travis Etienne for the season. Then on Sunday, the team received another scare when running back James Robinson had to come out of the team’s game against Seattle in the second quarter, but according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, his heel injury isn’t severe, but his timeline will be day-to-day.
Tests this morning revealed that Jaguars’ RB James Robinson escaped serious injury and he now is expected to be day to day with a foot injury that will leave his status for Sunday vs. Buffalo in question, per source.

Robinson, who has rushed for 482 yards this season, was having a solid day against the Seahawks and had accumulated four carries for 22 yards before exiting the game. The last of his four carries (the play that he was injured on) was good for 14 yards and was his longest of the day. However, when he went out of bounds on the play, he collided with a structure on the sideline and signaled to the Jags’ sideline for the team to replace him.
Carlos Hyde then played the remainder of the game in Robinson’s place. He finished his day with 39 yards on nine carries. Dare Ogunbowale also had nine yards and two carries.
The Jags’ next game will be against the Buffalo Bills, who are one of the NFL’s best teams. they could really use Robinson in the process but definitely shouldn’t rush him back if he isn’t ready because he’s basically the offense’s engine.
