Cincinnati Bengals second-round pick Jackson Carman needed a cart to leave the field in the fourth quarter of his team’s game against the New York Jets.
With less than four minutes left, Carman was a blocker on the right side of a Joe Mixon rushing attempt and went down seemingly holding his back. Trainers came out and the cart was quick to follow.
The second-rounder out of Clemson was the starter at right guard when available after taking a tumultuous journey to that spot on the depth chart since arriving in training camp.
With Carman out, the Bengals went to sixth-round rookie Trey Hill at right guard. Veteran Xavier Su’a-Filo is still on injured reserve.
