LeBron James will not play against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Los Angeles Lakers announced prior to the game.
James is dealing with a sore right ankle he suffered in the win against the Memphis Grizzlies Sunday when an opponent fell on his ankle.
James missed the game against the San Antonio Spurs because of the soreness, but the Lakers pulled out a win thanks to Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis combining for 68 points.
Davis, however, collided knees with an opponent in the Spurs game and is questionable to play with right knee soreness.
Malik Monk started in place of James against San Antonio. If Davis can’t go, then Carmelo Anthony would be a plausible choice to start since L.A. is short on frontcourt depth.
