WATCH: Who were the biggest snubs from the NBA’s 75th anniversary list?

Kyrie Irving was perhaps the most notable of Celtics alumni.

It might be a bit of a challenge to find Boston Celtics fans who would be especially put off by the decision to exclude former star Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving from the NBA’s 75th-anniversary list of the 75 greatest players to play the game given his exit from the team. But, he is a notable snub from the celebratory list.

And though said commemorative list has a total of 20 Boston alumni on it, there are probably others as well, and plenty taken from the ranks of other franchises too. But what are the biggest snubs on this iteration of an official NBA greatest players list?

The hosts of the eponymous CLNS Media podcast Jeff Goodman and Bob Ryan got into this very discussion with WEEI sports radio personality Gary Tanguay on their most recent episode, and the trio had plenty to say about the list and those excluded from it.

Watch the video embedded above to hear their takes on what is in essence a meaningless exercise in some ways — but still a very important one.
