5 takeaways from Oregon Ducks’ impressive 34-31 win over UCLA Bruins

The Ducks finally looked like a top-10 team again on Saturday with a 34-31 win over UCLA. Here are our biggest takeaways from the victory.

The Oregon Ducks fan base was understandably pretty down on this team after the last few weeks, with a loss to Stanford and a close win over Cal causing serious doubt when it came to the season’s prospects.

That might have changed a bit on Saturday. The Ducks absolutely looked the part of a top-10 team in a 34-31 victory over the UCLA Bruins. The final score seems closer than the game really was. The Ducks were up 17 early in the fourth quarter, but back-to-back interceptions allowed the Bruins back into the game.

Nonetheless, the Ducks played to their ceiling once again and looked like the team that went into Ohio State and upset the Buckeyes in Week 2. There is still a long time to the end of the season, but if Oregon continues down this path, its prospects for the end of the year look much higher than they did.
