The Boston Celtics have found some stability in an unexpected place, but a slimmed-down, sharpshooting small forward iteration of Grant Williams has been one of the team’s most reliable options off the bench, even filling in as a starter when Al Horford was unavailable in the league’s health and safety protocol to start the season.
For a player who was infamously off from beyond the arc to start his career, Williams is lighting the world on fire from 3-point range, shooting 69.2% from deep (yes, really) to start the season. That won’t stick — or at least we-re pretty sure it won’t — for long, but it helped the Tennessee product have another big game for Boston, putting up 18 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists on 6-of-8 shooting in Boston’s first win of the season over the Houston Rockets.
