The LSU Tigers fell to the then-ranked No. 12 Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday in a game that wasn’t even as close as the final score indicated.
Following their touchdown in the first quarter, LSU was outscored 31-0 in the next two quarters. It wasn’t until a field goal drive led by backup quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, did they even respond. Following the opening drive, the Tigers drive chart ended with turnovers three times and one missed field goal. They will take the bye week to get healthier and try and fix some of their issues.
USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll was released on Sunday. The Georgia Bulldogs seem to be the only consistent team in the rankings. They hold onto the top spot and everyone else seems to fluctuate on a week-to-week basis. The Tigers schedule will feature two ranked opponents in the final four weeks. Alabama, who knocked off Tennessee on Saturday night and Texas A&M, who throttled South Carolina.
A look at the full coaches poll after this week’s slate of games.
