Three former University of Tennessee basketball players were in action in the NBA Friday night and another did not play due to a coach’s decision.
All former Volunteers saw their teams suffer losses at home.
In Philadelphia, the 76ers came up on the short end of a 114-109 decision against Brooklyn at Wells Fargo Center.
Tobias Harris scored 23 points for Philadelphia against the Nets. He logged 37 minutes of playing time in a start. He went 10-for-20 from the floor and 3-for-4 from beyond the 3-point arc.
Harris totaled seven rebounds and four assists.
Rookie and 2021 first-round draft pick Jaden Springer did not play for the 76ers against Brooklyn, due to a coach’s decision.
Meanwhile in Boston, Toronto routed the Celtics 115-83 at TD Garden.
Josh Richardson scored 12 points, while recording three rebounds and one steal. He was 4-for-7 from the field, including a perfect 4-for-4 from 3-point range.
Grant Williams also played for Boston, logging 10 minutes and scoring five points. He totaled one rebound, one assist and one block.
