The LSU Tigers (4-3, 2-2 SEC) travel to meet the No. 12 Ole Miss Rebels (5-1, 2-1 SEC) Saturday at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the LSU vs. Ole Miss odds and lines, and make our expert college football picks, predictions and bets.
Rankings courtesy of the AFCA Coaches Poll powered by USA Today Sports.
LSU played a great game last time out against Florida, winning 49-42 as 12.5-point underdogs at home. The 49 points tied a season-high, and it’s the first time the Tigers have gone back-to-back Over on totals this season.
The Rebels dodged mustard bottles, beer cans, golf balls and verbal barbs in a 31-26 win at Tennessee last week. They rallied around head coach Lane Kiffin, who was the target of the angered fans in burnt orange, impressing as 1.5-point favorites.

LSU at Ole Miss odds, lines, picks and predictions
Prediction
Ole Miss 45, LSU 31
Money line
Ole Miss (-350) is back in “The Grove”, and the Rebels are 3-0 SU/1-1-1 ATS on its home field. While I feel they should win this game, the Ole Miss defense is shaky, and LSU is coming off its best offensive performance of the season. It’s a risky play to lay three and a half times your potential winnings.
AVOID.
Against the spread
OLE MISS -7.5 (-112) is the lean here, although LSU +7.5 (-108) looked awfully good on offense last week. But that’s the thing, it was just last week, as the Tigers have been rather inconsistent for most of the season.
With Ole Miss, you know what you’re getting. They’re going to keep the scoreboard operator busy, with QB Matt Corral slinging it all over the field. I’d be more confident in a cover if their defense was better. That’s what worries me, and limits this to a small-unit play only.
Over/Under
UNDER 76.5 (-108) is the way to go in this one. I’ve been burned several times on high-number totals with Ole Miss, playing the Over. They’re prolific, but not 80-plus points prolific.
The last two totals of 68 or Over have ended up cashing the Under, including last week’s 82.5-point total at Tennessee.
