What Titans are saying about Chiefs ahead of Week 7 matchup

“Honestly, I think these two teams — Kansas City and Buffalo — are kind of similar,” Titans safety Kevin Byard said.

Coming off an emotional victory over the Buffalo Bills on “Monday Night Football,” the Tennessee Titans are gearing up to host the Kansas City Chiefs on a short week.

Naturally, the focus leading up to Sunday’s matchup has been limiting Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who already has nearly 1,900 yards passing and a league-leading 18 touchdowns.

“Honestly, I think these two teams — Kansas City and Buffalo — are kind of similar,” Titans safety Kevin Byard said. “I feel like as long as you have Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce on offense, you’re going against one of the top offenses in the league. It’s going to be kind of the same keys as last week. We have to affect the quarterback, find a way to make him feel uncomfortable back there.”

The Chiefs come into this contest with a 3-3 record, but they are a threat to score every time they have the ball on offense. The Titans will have to find holes in their defense, one that is ranked third-worst in the passing game and second-worst on the ground.

Aside from Byard’s comment about the Chiefs, here’s what else the Titans are saying ahead of Sunday’s game.
