Avery Bradley wants to take full advantage of being back with Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers guard Avery Bradley is thankful to be back with the franchise and wants to do whatever it takes to stay.

With the Los Angeles Lakers dealing with several injuries at the start of the regular season, Avery Bradley was claimed off waivers to stabilize the perimeter defense.

Bradley played against the Golden State Warriors a few days after being signed and made an immediate impact.

In eight fourth-quarter minutes, Bradley made two catch-and-shoot 3s and played solid defense against Golden State’s shifty guards, though it wasn’t enough to pull out a win.

After the game, Bradley said he wants to do everything he can in these situations to help L.A.

“I just want to take full advantage of this opportunity,” Bradley said. “And, like I said, I’m just thankful the Lakers gave me the opportunity to come back and give me a chance to help this team in any way I can.”

Bradley continued about how he made those 3s and repeated the gratitude he said earlier about being back.

“I just wanted to go in there and just play hard, that’s my focus. Pick my spots and LeBron found me on a few shots, and I knocked them in,” Bradley said, “But again, I’m just happy to be here and hope if I get an opportunity to be out there on the floor, I can just play hard and take whatever opportunities are given to me.”

Trevor Ariza and Talen Horton-Tucker are two key players out for an indefinite period, which is why the Lakers signed Bradley. It is a non-guaranteed deal, so the Lakers have flexibility with his status when the two return.

If Bradley maintains this type of production, it might be difficult moving on from him.
