The Cleveland Browns confirmed the worst-case scenario for Week 7. Well, one of them anyway…
The Browns officially placed RB Kareem Hunt and LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah on the injured reserve list. It will sideline each for at least three weeks of games.
Both standouts were injured in Sunday’s bad home loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Hunt injured his calf while Owusu-Koramoah suffered an ankle injury. Neither is expected to be season-ending, but it’s still a massive blow for the banged-up Browns on a short work week with the Denver Broncos coming to town on Thursday night.
The team signed RB John Kelly off the practice squad to the active roster to take Hunt’s roster spot. In addition, WR Ja’Marcus Bradley was restored to the practice squad from the injured list.
