The Tennessee Titans notched their biggest win of the young season on Monday night when they upset the Buffalo Bills, 34-31, in a game few gave them a chance to win.
Running back Derrick Henry was the star of the game and put the team on his back with 143 yards and three scores, including a clutch 76-yard score in the second quarter when the Titans’ offense was flailing and couldn’t muster up much production.
But credit is due for the defense, which was shorthanded coming in and lost more players throughout.
It wasn’t pretty, but Tennessee’s unit made some key stops in the red zone and one on fourth down at the goal line late in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
After the game, several Titans players met with the media to discuss the win, including wide receiver A.J. Brown, who spoke about his bout with food poisoning that almost led to him missing this game.
