Colts’ Parris Campbell will miss time with significant foot injury

Colts WR Parris Campbell is expected to miss time with a significant foot injury.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Parris Campbell is expected to miss time due to a foot injury he suffered during the 31-3 win over the Houston Texans in Week 6.

Another tough blow for Campbell’s career as he now has to deal with another injury. The potential that Campbell has brought to the roster has been immense. However, the continued issues with injuries will be the overarching theme of his career.

In speaking to reporters Monday, Reich confirmed that Campbell is expected to miss time with a significant foot injury.

Reich also wouldn’t admit whether the injury is season-ending but did say it’s a possibility.

Campbell injured his foot on the long, 51-yard touchdown he scored in the first quarter of Sunday’s win. It was the highest of highs for Campbell with what was then followed by the lowest of lows as he deals with another injury.

Campbell’s rookie season was marred by injury when he missed nine games due to a total of four separate injuries that required three surgeries. Then Campbell came out for his second season in 2020 to lead the team in receiving yards during the season-opener. The following game, he suffered a season-ending knee injury on the first play of the game.

It’s a tough storyline for Campbell, who has an immense ceiling. But the Colts will once again go without him for the majority of the season.
