HOUSTON — Houston Texans safety Terrence Brooks sustained a chest injury midway through the first quarter of Sunday’s Week 6 match against the Indianapolis Colts. According to the Texans, Brooks’ return to the game is questionable.
Brooks’ injury occurred amid a 51-yard touchdown reception between quarterback Carson Wentz and wideout Parris Campbell to give the Colts a 7-0 lead over the Texans. As Campbell made his way to the end zone, it appeared that the receiver’s foot propelled Brooks’ chest, as the safety fell to the ground.
Brooks was making his first start as a Texan in place of third-year defensive back Lonnie Johnson, who has now filled the void for the injured safety.
