The Washington Football Team received some good injury news on Sunday morning ahead of their Week 6 meeting against the Kansas City Chiefs. Running back Antonio Gibson and wide receiver Terry McLaurin are active on Sunday.
Gibson, who has rushed for 313 yards and three touchdowns this season, has been listed on the injury report every week this season. Yet, Gibson has played each week. He is currently dealing with a shin injury.
McLaurin was a surprise addition to the injury report on Friday. His hamstring felt tight before practice on Friday, and Washington played it safe and held him out. Head coach Ron Rivera said he expected McLaurin to play, but Washington wanted to exercise caution with McLaurin.
Washington’s offense will face a Kansas City defense that is ranked last in the NFL in a number of categories.
