For the first time this season, the Indianapolis Colts (1-4) will open as favorites in a matchup, sitting comfortably over the Houston Texans (1-4) in Week 8.
Coming off of a devastating loss in prime-time, the Colts will have a short week to prepare for the Texans, who are also coming off of a near-upset from Week 5. Here’s a look at the opening odds for the week, per Tipico Sportsbook.

While the Colts have had their issues to open the season, the Texans find themselves in a similar boat. They opened the week with an upset win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, but the injury to Tyrod Taylor seems to have derailed any chances for upsets in the following weeks. They’ve since been leaning on rookie Davis Mills.
The Colts squandered a chance to make a statement in the national spotlight by crumbling in the loss to the Ravens. Now, they’ll be looking to get back in the win column for the first time at home during the 2021 season.
