After playing on Thursday night, the Los Angeles Rams spent Sunday afternoon watching the rest of the Week 5 slate and preparing for the New York Giants, who had a very bad day against the Dallas Cowboys. Not just because they lost 44-20, but because they lost three of their most important players to injuries.
Saquon Barkley left with an ankle injury and is expected to miss Sunday’s game against the Rams. Daniel Jones suffered what appeared to be a serious concussion, putting him in danger of missing the game, too. And as if that wasn’t enough, Kenny Golladay injured his knee though the severity is unknown.
As a result of all these injuries, the spread for Rams-Giants has moved dramatically since Friday. According to Tipico Sportsbook, the Rams have gone from 7.5-point favorites to 10.5-point favorites. The over/under has also moved three points, going from 50.5 to 47.5 points.
Even if Jones and Golladay play on Sunday, the Rams should win this game fairly easily. They’ll be playing after 10 days rest, while the Giants will be banged up and reeling from a 24-point loss to their division rivals.
