For their third preseason contest, the Golden State Warriors will be without a key starter. On Friday night against the Los Angeles Lakers, the Warriors will be without Andrew Wiggins due to left knee soreness.
After playing the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday, Wiggins was absent from practice on Thursday at Golden State’s training camp. During the Warriors’ comeback win against the Nuggets, the Kansas product played 16 minutes, scoring four points on 1-of-4 shooting from the field. Wiggins added three rebounds, two blocks, an assist and a steal before exiting the contest.

Along with Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga will also miss Friday’s game against the Lakers after tweaking his knee against the Nuggets.
With Golden State light at the small forward position, Otto Porter Jr. could get an extended preseason run. Through two games in the preseason, the veteran free agent signing has impressed. Porter Jr. has tallied 15 or more points in each preseason contest off the bench.
Juan Toscano-Anderson, Langston Galloway, Moses Moody and Avery Bradley could also see an uptick in playing time against the Lakers.
The Warriors will tip-off against the Lakers at 7 p.m. PT on Friday night at Chase Center.
